About CozyBrushery, A Tale of Grit, Giggles, and Glorious Brushes.

Hey there! Welcome to CozyBrushery, where every brush has a backstory ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂)⸝♡. This all started with a scrappy little iPad mini, no money, and no internet. Just a stubborn dream, a lot of trial-and-error, and the tiniest pockets of free time between real life and diaper changes.

At CozyBrushery, you won't find just some brushes — you will find little companions for your creativity. Brushes that feel good, behave well, and sometimes even surprise you. Whether you're drawing sparkles, frills, or galaxies, there is something ready to help you say what words can’t.

Born into a

humble family, my first love affair was with the little stationery shops that sold pens and paper. Drawing was my whole world — and when I wasn’t making art, I was staring dreamily at shelves full of supplies I couldn’t afford. On my 19th birthday, my boyfriend (now husband) gave me a Wacom Bamboo. That tablet was my first real crash into digital art. My early creations looked like a toddler with attitude had drawn them — especially next to my traditional work.

I started off using Paint Tool SAI, then moved on to Clip Studio and Photoshop. Between 2009 and 2017, I experimented a lot and even started making my own brushes in those programs. Each step taught me something — but it wasn’t until I discovered Procreate that everything finally clicked.

At university,

I saved up everything to buy my first iPad — a little iPad mini. My art was a total mess, but Procreate’s clean, intuitive design felt surprisingly natural. I usually get overwhelmed by complex apps, but this one made me want to keep going. Still, the brush engine left me wanting — like a chef missing key ingredients. Back in 2012, I had no internet, no money, and nowhere to find inspiring brushes. When I finally started using Procreate in 2017, I began creating my own. I spent years exploring its brush engine, building the tools I needed but couldn’t buy.

  • When I first

dipped my toes into selling brushes, I was just hoping for a sprinkle of sales, thinking maybe a handful of artsy folks might buy my creations. In fact, my first brushset was listed on Gumroad and growing there was slow as it had a very bad discovery system.

  • I made a pause for a few months

until my daughter was born. I moved with my family to Japan, Tokyo and the the tight income made me pick up brushes again. This time I was determined to show the people that my brushes are really good.

  • So,

I dove headfirst into the brush crafting. My brain became a 24/7 brush brainstorming machine—daydreaming about brushes, and even in bed I was sketching brushes in my mind instead of counting sheep.

After what felt like a million hours

I finally stumbled on the magic formula: Double Brushes. They were harder to control, but they unlocked entirely new possibilities — outlined strokes, frilly textures, even chains that flowed cleanly around edges. Without them, brushes like that would break apart at sharp angles, since Procreate’s engine, unlike Clip Studio’s, relies mostly on stamp-based brushes.

Amidst diaper changes and baby naps, I squeezed in every spare moment to craft these tools. It was a journey of passion, persistence — and more than a little panic.

    Today,

CozyBrushery isn't just a collection of brushes. It is a testament to the power of perseverance, the creativity and beauty of turning challenges into triumphs.

It is for the dreamers, the doers and everyone who believes that art should be fun and be the friend who pulls us up when we need a hand.

From a tiny shop lover to a digital brush inovator. I made it my mission to add magic to your digital canvas, one brush stroke at a time.

Because art isn’t just what we make—

it’s what we remember, what we feel, and who we become.
It’s in the quiet moments, the joyful accidents,
and the tiny details that speak louder than words. These brushes were made for those moments—to help you tell your story, your way.
